Jakarta 13 June 2024. PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk with stock code (IDX:IPCC), continues to play an active role in preserving the environment. In 2024, one of the IPCC's flagship programs is planting ornamental plants and trees which is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) priority program which aims to green Indonesia and support Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) point 13, namely Handling Climate Change.
As a form of the Company's Social and Environmental Responsibility towards the environment in the IPCC business area, today the IPCC is carrying out a Plant and Tree Planting Movement and Creating a Joint Park in commemoration of World Environment Day which falls on June 5 2024 yesterday. In carrying out this excellent activity, the IPCC collaborated with the Cilincing District as an important IPCC stakeholder to jointly build a beautiful living environment and as a form of reducing air emission levels. Symbolically, this activity was carried out by planting 5 trees which later in several stages will be planted 10 additional trees, both new trees and replacement trees within the Company's environment. Apart from that, the Mangrove Planting program will also be implemented which is a joint program with the Pelindo Group and the Creation of Parks with the IPCC in collaboration with the Cilincing District. This program will plant approximately 10 types of ornamental plants with a total of 2,705 ornamental plants which will later be cared for and handed over to the Cilincing District. Through this strong collaboration program, it is hoped that IPCC employees will actively participate in maintaining and caring for the trees and gardens which are planned to be created under the JORR Toll overpass in front of the entrance to IPCC.
“This activity was carried out to commemorate World Environment Day, in line with the Company's commitment to providing benefits to the surrounding environment with its CSR program. "We hope that the plants and trees that have been planted can grow well and in the long term can reduce emissions in the city of Jakarta," explained Endah Dwi Liesly, IPCC Corporate Secretary.
Apart from actions for the environment, the Company also holds blood donation activities. Of the 74 people who registered, 58 of them were declared successful in participating in this donation activity. Those who do not pass are directed to adopt a healthy lifestyle and get enough rest according to their individual needs and body condition. "This blood donation activity is in accordance with the principles that must be put forward in CSR. Hopefully, blood donation activities can provide great benefits for both IPCC people and our brothers and sisters in need," explained Endah.
