Jakarta, February 28, 2025. PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX:IPCC) has once again recorded a brilliant operational performance. When compared with the period in January last year, throughout January 2025 the IPCC succeeded in loading and unloading cargo (CBU, buses/trucks and heavy equipment) which was handled by up to 8.7% or 6,504 more units or 81,273 units. Apart from cargo performance, the number of ship visits visiting IPCC-managed docks increased by 11.6% or 28 visits YoY or a total of 268 calls in January 2025. The better achievement compared to last year was influenced by the absence of safety issues for certain brands such as at the beginning of last year plus the presence of various new automotive brands from the bamboo curtain country as well as an increase in the number of exports of a number of brands that have production line bases in Indonesia.
Consolidated truck/bus cargo handling during January 2025 amounted to 17,620 units, growing slightly by 17.3% YoY. From this picture, it can be seen that at the beginning of the year there was indeed a wait and see action from business people in this sector and however, mining activities in the country continued and increased in line with the completion of several national strategic projects in the energy sector such as in Gresik and Morowali. The Company successfully recorded positive performance in handling CBU cargo during January 2025 amounting to 64,236 units, an increase of 6,598 units or 11% YoY. Heavy Equipment cargo performance grew by 513 units or an increase of 24.31% YoY where during January 2025 it managed to handle 2,624 units. The increase in Heavy Equipment cargo occurred for both export and import cargo which was dominated by 5 well-known brands, Hitachi, Caterpillar, Sumitomo, Hyundai and Komatsu.
"In an effort to maintain the Company's performance in 2024, transformation and standardization will continue to be carried out on an ongoing basis with the principle of continuous improvement to meet the expectations of our service users, such as improvements to business processes, increasing the capacity of the piling yard and operational support facilities as well as plans to optimize the docks owned by the IPCC Jakarta Branch to increase the frequency of international ship visits," said Bagus Dwipoyono, Director of Operations and Technical of IPCC.
"Looking at the Company's operational performance in January 2025, we look optimistically that this year will pass brilliantly as last year's achievements were based on the Company's strong fundamentals and continuing the strategic initiatives from last year as well as the implementation of PTOS-C at international terminals and several satellite terminals which will strengthen operational performance," concluded Endah Dwi Liesly, Senior Manager of Corporate Secretary of IPCC.
