Jakarta, 16 January 2025 – PT Pelindo Daya Sejahtera (PDS) and PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX:IPCC) provide clarification regarding the developing issue regarding one of the former outsourcing workers, Mr. Joko Laras, and a demonstration from the Outsourcing Workers Union (TAD) in Tanjung Priok.
This was conveyed directly by the President Director of PDS, Fatkhurroji, according to him. He was previously an outsourced worker who was under contract with PT Pelindo Daya Sejahtera through a Specific Time Work Agreement. The work contract in question has ended on 31 December 2024, so there is no action for Termination of Employment (PHK). The company ensures that the employment relationship ends automatically with the end of the PKWT period. "The company did not carry out layoffs, but rather the employment relationship ended in accordance with the previously agreed PKWT provisions. PT Pelindo Daya Sejahtera always respects workers' rights, including the right to association which is protected by law," said Fatkhurroji.
Director of Finance, HR and Risk Management, PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk, Wing Megantoro added, "We as Company management always carry out routine evaluations of workload and individual performance as part of the transformation that is being carried out after the Pelindo merger. This evaluation process is carried out transparently and aims to improve the Company's overall performance. Every step taken by management aims to ensure that every employee can contribute optimally in achieving the Company's goals".
Meanwhile, regarding allegations of inappropriate imposition of income tax and claims of insufficient overtime wages, PT Pelindo Daya Sejahtera held a Bipartite II meeting on January 9 2025. The company requested that SPPTKI-FBTPI immediately submit evidence regarding this statement so that it can be followed up according to applicable regulations. "The company is always committed to fulfilling its obligations to pay workers' rights in accordance with applicable regulations," emphasized the President Director of PT Pelindo Daya Sejahtera.
Responding to the current issues and problems, the Chairman of the DPC SPPI Bersatu PT. Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk, Ibnu Ramli said, that what was the topic of discussion could actually be discussed in a more elegant way by prioritizing discussions to find solutions, rather than spending energy on demonstrations whose impact would be detrimental to the surrounding community, especially as Tanjung Priok Port is the gateway to the National economy. “Br. Joko Laras has received guidance on disciplinary violations on several occasions, so what he experienced was the result of his behavior and actions and there were no other factors underlying the termination of his employment relationship, said Ibnu".
PT Pelindo Daya Sejahtera and SPPTKI-FBTPI have carried out a dispute resolution process through Bipartite I and II. All parties are committed to resolving this problem in accordance with applicable statutory provisions. PT Pelindo Daya Sejahtera and PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk on this occasion also appreciate all parties who support resolving this problem in a peaceful manner and in accordance with existing legal procedures and always prioritizing the principles of good and correct governance (Good Corporate Governance) and complying with applicable laws and regulations.
