August 30, 2025
Jakarta, August 30, 2025. PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX:IPCC), a subsidiary of the multipurpose cargo business cluster (PT Pelindo Multi Terminal/SPMT), has successfully improved its operational performance by handling 641,746 units of vehicle cargo (CBU, buses/trucks, and heavy equipment) through July 2025, a 12.28% increase, or 70,223 units year-on-year (YoY). In addition to the solid cargo performance, the number of vessel visits to IPCC-managed ports through July 2025 reached 1,834, a 212-visit increase year-on-year (YoY) or 13.07%. The achievement in the ship visit sector, which is better than last year's performance, is driven by several factors, including the addition of satellite terminals managed by the IPCC, as well as increased vehicle import and export activities in Indonesia, which demonstrates competitive national economic growth amidst continuously evolving global dynamics. The contribution of CBU cargo exports and imports, one of which is the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle)-based CBU, recorded a significant increase. Until the period of July 2025, the IPCC carried out loading and unloading activities of 41,227 units or 565.91% or 33,942 units year-on-year, whereas in July 2024 it unloaded 7,285 units. As an illustration of the total CBU cargo handled by IPCC until July 2025, 8.12% is BEV-based CBU, the majority of which are dominated by Asian and European brands (BYD, Vinfast, AION, Volkswagen, and various other brands). IPCC continues to prove that the implementation of an integrated system is an integral part of building a vehicle logistics ecosystem, especially in the port sector under the management of Pelindo as the largest port manager in Indonesia, which in October will commemorate its 4th Merger Day.
Consolidated heavy equipment cargo handling until July 2025 amounted to 18,588 units, growing significantly by 34.29% YoY or 4,746 more units. The Semayan satellite terminal, located in Balikpapan City, recorded the highest loading and unloading performance of heavy equipment, namely 3,860 units. Operational performance in truck/bus cargo recorded an increase of 24.40% with a total of 111,946 units, an increase of 21,959 units YoY, which was recorded at 89,987 units. Growth in truck/bus cargo types was also influenced by the increasing mining and plantation activities in line with the government's program for energy and food self-sufficiency in 2025. During this period, the Semayang Satellite Terminal also managed the largest number of truck/bus cargoes, handling 29,903 units. The company also recorded positive performance in handling CBU cargoes until July 2025, totaling 511,212 units, an increase of 36,918 units or 7.78% YoY. This increase was dominated by vehicle imports and exports in line with the trend of BEV usage and the high interest in Indonesian-made cars with engines of 2,000 cc and below in various countries in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Latin America.
"IPCC's solid and growing operational performance achievement until July 2025 is in accordance with the implemented business development plan, one of which is changing the layout and operating patterns to maximize field capacity, integrated digitalization of the operating system (PTOS-C) so that it can provide accurate field availability data which ultimately provides added value and service certainty for service users. We also continue to build positive collaborations with various stakeholders, transforming operational areas and business patterns as well as implementing an integrated digital system, which is expected to achieve positive achievements and provide better contributions to Indonesia with taxes and dividends given to the state and shareholders," concluded Endah Dwi Liesly, IPCC Corporate Secretary.
