Jakarta, 12 February 2025. In order to harmonize and support the Asta Cita of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo, one of which focuses on strengthening the development of human resources (HR), science, technology, education, health, sports achievements, gender equality, as well as strengthening the role of women, youth and people with disabilities, PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX: IPCC) through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program in 2024 successfully held a Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) for 30 Toddlers in Kalibaru Village, to be precise, in RW 8, 9 and 10, which in its implementation collaborates with the local government (RT, RW, Village Head and District Head) as well as the Community Health Center and Posyandu.
Through the CSR program, which is named IPCC Gembira (Clean and Healthy Community Movement), it is hoped that it can have a positive impact on communities around the Company's business areas by focusing on health. In implementing the CSR program, the IPCC uses triple bottom lines, namely planet, people and profit, where efforts are made to protect the surrounding environment (planet) and maintain balance in social life (people) and in line with the growth of company profits (profit). Key activities in the CSR program include communication, coordination and identification of beneficiaries involving relevant stakeholders. Then provide Free Nutritious Food in this case to meet the nutritional adequacy figures/values for beneficiary toddlers. Furthermore, education on fulfilling child nutrition aimed at parents of toddlers is carried out by health workers from Posyandu and the Health Service. IPCC President Director, Sugeng Mulyadi, emphasized the importance of the Company's active role in channeling CSR appropriately and supporting Government programs as the key to solid coordination and real efforts within a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) ecosystem to jointly eradicate problems in society as a form of implementing SDGs point 3, namely healthy and prosperous living as evidenced by improving children's health.
In this CSR program, the SROI (Social Return On Investment) value was also measured, which got a value of 2.21 or above 1, which means there is a positive impact on the program provided or a social value that is greater than the value invested. Apart from providing food, other activities carried out are outreach regarding education about maintaining health during pregnancy to prevent babies being born with stunting conditions and health measurements carried out periodically during this program period (54 days from 23 October 2024). "The CSR program that has been carried out by the Company has been successful and has provided real benefits for the beneficiaries, especially the community around the Company's area. Of course, we will continue this good thing as part of implementing Sustainability and supporting ESG principles at the IPCC," said Endah Dwi Liesly, Senior Manager of the IPCC Corporate Secretary.
The success of this program can be seen from the reduction in the prevalence of stunting from 30 toddlers who were trained to zero, increasing parents' knowledge about fulfilling children's nutrition, establishing effective and good communication due to the Company's program involving the Government and the community as drivers and beneficiaries, changes in better feeding behavior such as providing exclusive breast milk, appropriate complementary foods for breast milk and food rich in nutrients as well as socio-economic improvement through empowering local communities (MSMEs) in providing free nutritious food.
In 2025, the Company will again promote IPCC Gembira as a superior CSR program where it is planned to increase the number of beneficiaries and this program is also expected to receive support from various business entities in the Tanjung Priok Port area to collaborate in alleviating problems, especially in the health sector in the Kalibaru Village community. "Don't forget that the IPCC is committed to always coordinating and communicating effectively with the Government, both the Head of the Kalibaru Subdistrict and the Head of the Cilincing Subdistrict, as well as other stakeholders in order to build synergy between institutions which we hope will help the Government in its efforts to improve the standard of living of the community," concluded Endah Dwi Liesly.
