Jakarta, August 4, 2025. PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX: IPCC) proved its resilience in serving large-scale RoRo vessels, precisely in early August 2025 IPCC Jakarta Branch served two Mother Vessels (MV) at once, namely MV. BYD Zhengzhou from Batangs, Philippines, and MV. World Spirit from Singapore. This is a breath of fresh air for IPCC service users that as a step in Unlocking Capacity, one of which is adding ship berths at international piers as implemented on the arrival of MV. BYD Zhengzhou with LOA (Length Over All) 200 M and width 38 M making it the largest ship handled by IPCC with a carrying capacity of 7,000 cargo units and consisting of 15 floors. On August 1, 2025, IPCC received the opportunity from BYD Indonesia to be the venue for the welcoming activity of MV. BYD Zhengzhou entitled "Exclusive Experience The BYD Zhengzhou's First Arrival In Indonesia".
In the activity attended by various stakeholders such as the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming represented by the Deputy for Investment Services, the Ministry of Finance represented by the Director General of Customs and Excise, the Ministry of Transportation represented by the Director General of Land Transportation, the National Economic Council, Stakeholders and related Government Agencies at Tanjung Priok Port, BYD Motor Indonesia, BYD Auto Indonesia, the Board of Directors and Management of Pelindo Group and the Directors of IPCC. In his remarks, Iwan Suryana as the Deputy for Services and Investment of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming in his remarks, emphasized the importance of maintaining the investment climate to fulfill the Indonesian economy. "During the Red and White Cabinet administration, which emphasized the ease of investment for investors in the country to create quality jobs and continue infrastructure development, positive synergy and collaboration between investors, stakeholders, and related stakeholders became important elements towards the target of Indonesia Emas 2045," said Iwan.
President Director of BYD Motor Indonesia, Eagle Zhao, expressed his high appreciation to all parties involved in the welcoming activities of MV. BYD Zhengzhou as the largest ship fueled by LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) which is certainly more efficient in its combustion and produces lower greenhouse gas emissions of air pollutants. "With a capacity of up to 7,000 units of cargo transported in a single voyage, making the logistics flow more efficient which ultimately can provide added value for all parties and of course BYD customers. As a form of BYD's responsibility in the use of energy sources, especially sustainable fuels, we implement the use of environmentally friendly LNG-based non-fossil fuels," said Eagle Zhao.
Sugeng Mulyadi, President Director of IPCC, in his remarks expressed his gratitude to all the invitees present, especially the KSOP of Tanjung Priok Port and the Head of the Tanjung Priok Type A Main Customs Service Office who granted permission to dock outside the area and BYD Indonesia for entrusting the important agenda of "Private Tour for the Arrival of BYD Zhengzhou Vessel to Indonesia" which took place at the IPCC Domestic Terminal Stacking Yard, Jakarta. This activity is an important momentum for all parties, especially in strengthening bilateral relations, expanding economic opportunities and presenting future technological solutions. In the first semester of 2025, the IPCC has facilitated CBU export activities of 171 thousand units or an increase of 6.91% YoY while imports amounted to 57 thousand units or grew 85.39% YoY where as many as 28 thousand units were battery-based electric cars (BEV) and specifically for BYD contributed as much as 70% of the total EV as a whole. "Management is confident that through mutually supportive collaboration between the IPCC and BYD Indonesia can make a real contribution to society, the environment and encourage sustainable economic growth in Indonesia and it is hoped that Indonesia will become an energy-independent, environmentally friendly country and an important player for electric vehicles in the global market," concluded Sugeng.
