Jakarta, August 22, 2026. PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX: IPCC) demonstrated its humanitarian commitment to Indonesia by supporting the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in shipping humanitarian aid to communities affected by the earthquake in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The company provided terminal facilities and operational services at IPCC’s Jakarta Branch Domestic Terminal. A total of 33,947 logistical aid items were dispatched by PMI via sea from Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, to Labuan Bajo Port, East Nusa Tenggara. The aid was sent to help meet the basic needs of earthquake-affected communities, particularly while they are in evacuation shelters and during the emergency response period. Attendees at the event included H. M. Jusuf Kalla, Chairman of PMI; Bagus Dwipoyono, Director of Operations and Engineering (concurrently Acting President Director of IPCC); and other stakeholders.
During the operation, IPCC provided dockside facilities and operational support for loading humanitarian aid onto the vessel. The entire process was carried out with a primary focus on safety, security, orderliness, and operational efficiency, in accordance with the procedures established at the IPCC terminal. H. M. Jusuf Kalla personally inspected the loading of PMI’s logistical aid onto the ship at Tanjung Priok Port prior to its departure for Labuan Bajo.
The aid dispatched by PMI encompassed a wide range of supplies for affected communities, including clothing, religious worship items, emergency shelter materials, lighting equipment, household goods, and supplies tailored to the needs of vulnerable groups.
The aid will subsequently be distributed in stages to support earthquake-affected communities across seven regencies in Flores—West Manggarai, East Manggarai, Manggarai, Nagekeo, Ende, Sikka, and Ngada—based on assessment results as well as the specific needs and priorities of the communities in each area.
The vessel, dispatched from the IPCC Domestic Terminal wharf, also carried various logistical supplies from other organizations supporting the humanitarian response for the communities affected by the Flores earthquake. This collaboration reflects the synergy among humanitarian agencies, port industry players, and various stakeholders in accelerating the distribution of aid to disaster-affected communities.
Jusuf Kalla emphasized that the speed and accuracy of aid distribution are crucial in disaster response, while also expressing appreciation to the public, partners, and various organizations that have collectively supported humanitarian aid for the communities affected by the Flores earthquake. "I extend my gratitude to the public, partners, and various organizations that have joined hands to support this humanitarian aid. Disaster response cannot be undertaken in isolation; collaboration is essential to ensure that aid is collected, dispatched, and reaches the communities in need," said Jusuf Kalla.
Bagus Dwipoyono stated that IPCC’s support for this activity reflects the company's commitment to fostering collaboration and leveraging its port capabilities and facilities to support humanitarian missions. "IPCC welcomes this collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross and all parties involved in this humanitarian mission. By utilizing our wharf facilities and operational support services, IPCC strives to ensure that the aid loading process is safe, orderly, and smooth, allowing the aid to be promptly dispatched to the communities in need," said Bagus.
As part of the Pelindo Group and a vehicle terminal operator, IPCC consistently opens avenues for collaboration with various stakeholders, utilizing the company's facilities and capabilities to support activities that deliver tangible benefits to the community.
